Luck & Luck Buffs

Luck got an update during the December 11th maintenance. The cap was increased to 300, and there is a new thing called Luck Buffs.

About Luck

Luck

Luck is a stat that increases the chances of getting Luck Drops. It also gives points that can be used to buff other stats.

Enhancing Luck

Luck can be enhanced by spending duplicate Friends, Paper Dolls/Disks, and Lucky Mirrors.

The amount enhanced is as follows:
– Duplicate: Adds the duplicate’s Luck. (Initial Luck for unenhanced Units is 5.)
– Paper Dolls/Disks: 5
– Blank Lucky Mirrors: 1
– Friend-Specific Lucky Mirrors: 1

Luck Drops

Some stages have Luck Drops. The chance of getting Luck Drops is dependent on the Luck of the Friends in your party. The Luck Drops for some special stages, like VS Divergent Spirits, also include Luck Story Cards, special Story Cards that have random Passives and stats.
Each Friend in your party with between 5 and 99 Luck provides one potential Luck Drop, which has a chance of dropping equal to their Luck. However, Friends with 100 Luck provide 2 guaranteed Luck Drops.

Note:
– Stages with Luck Drops have the Luck icon (a four-leaf clover) next to their Drop Info button on the stage select screen.
– The Item you receive when you get a Luck Drop is randomized from the Items with a Luck icon listed in the stage’s Drop Info.
– Helpers also provide potential Luck Drops.
– The chance of acquiring Luck Drops is determined by the individual Luck of each Friend in your party, not the total Luck of your party.

About Luck Buffs

Luck Buffs

Max Limit-Broken Friends will get Luck Points equal to their Luck. You can spend these points to apply Luck Buffs, which can increase your Friend’s stats (HP, Agility, Yang ATK, Yin ATK, Yang DEF, and Yin DEF).
When you spend enough points, you can also reduce their Spirit P Cost by up to 3 points. When a Friend’s Spirit P Cost is reduced in this manner, they retain their Total Power. When you use the Spirit P Cost function in Party Formation, their minimum cost is still 5, but because it decreases it by less, they suffer less of a decrease in Total Power. In other words, a Friend who has Luck Buffs reducing their Spirit P Cost is more powerful when fighting at low Spirit P.
Note:
– A Unit cannot have more Luck Points than it has Luck.
Once you spend Luck Points to apply Luck Buffs, they are gone and cannot be reset.

Fancy Borders

Friends with 100 Luck or more get fancy borders that can be seen on rankings and by other players on their Buddy List or when selecting your Friend as a Helper.
